Insight 76: What's Happening?

I feel so sad when I see the changes but not the people changing. I see how even the people who know so much about the truth are not able to wake up from their state of stupor to embrace it.

People are dying in all sorts of ways. They are killing themselves with anger and hatred and sadness but they are not doing anything about it. They just carry on with being unconscious and torment themselves unnecessarily and complain about it just to repeat it over and over. Day after day, day in day out, people are invaded by diseases they create from fear and ignorance.

You see them driving up and down the streets to chase something which isn't there. You see them cramp in tight spaces to justify their existence. You them scavenging in shopping malls looking for fulfillment through objects. You hear them talking and talking about everything under the sun except how to be happier people and improving their conditions. Everyone complains about one thing or the other. About that certain colleague who is obnoxious to the bones and should be fired. About the changing weathers that's killing them with extreme rain and snow and sun. About the terrible economic situation. About the escalating crime rate. About disgusting politicians. About the planet in trouble. And they expect someone else to run their lives to make sure everything if fine. Why?

Why don’t people wake up and do something about it? Change their ideologies of how life should be. Change the concepts about condemnations towards other ethnicities, sexual orientations, the unfortunate, the over-abundant, the weak. Change mindsets that only laws written by the government works. Change attitudes when you meet a stranger, a friend’s friend, a chance encounter because they may benefit us more than we can imagine. Change the way we live by means of better communication with everyone around us, spending valuable time to feed each other inspirations and hope and learning to be more sensitive to the world around us.

Where is the compassion that embraces consideration, patience and responsibility? 2012 is not the end of the world as we know it but it’s an evolution, a change that will sweep across the entire planet and everyone who is ignorant will be swept along with it. Wake up. Wake up!
